What could be causing this?
I'm on vista using chrome...

Re: Download speed
It could be a problem with your ISP. Perhaps it'll speed up again. If the slowness persists, I'd contact your ISP.
Best wishes,

Re: Download speed
Even if you are on an 'unlimited' broadband contract your ISP will have some sort of fair use policy in place. If you have been a v. heavy user your ISP may have throttled back your speed.

Re: Download speed
Are you using DSL, Cable, Sat or (shudder) dial up or what?

If you are slow in paying your bill, they in turn may feel that you deserve a slower speed.

Re: Download speed
I am on unlimited broadband (dsl), I think.... I have been downloading lots of pdf files from my local council website over the last few days, mostly <1mb, but some a little larger. I am not generally a heavy user so it's a little rude if they are throttling me..... I'll see how it looks later, once the football finishes..

Re: Download speed
What's all this got to do with slow download speed?
The New England Patriots have won their first two regular season games.

Not quite plucked at random from Google but you ISP should have something similar on their web site.
