Does my laptop have Bluetooth capabilities?

Post by jmt356 »

I have an HP Pavilion g4 laptop. I want to connect it to Amazon Echo via Bluetooth. How can I determine whether it has Bluetooth capabilities? I see a toggle button for Wi-Fi on the f12 key, but I see nothing for Bluetooth.

Right-click the Start button.
Select 'Device Manager' from the context menu.
See if 'Bluetooth Radio' is listed as a category; if not, look for it under 'Network adapters' and under 'Other devices' (if present).
If you don't see Bluetooth Radio in Device Manager, you don't have it.
Best wishes,
Hans

It's not there, so I guess I don't have it.

I think it depends on the specific model. See some of the results at hp pavilion g4 Bluetooth for instructions on some models to get Bluetooth working.
