I connected my HP laptop PC to the LG home monitor, using a rgb cable.
But when the laptop door is lowered, the monitor screen goes black!
With the open door I can see both the laptop and the monitor ....
screen black...

Have a look at Power Options to see what closing the lid switch is configured to do...

Click "Specificare cosa avviene quando viene chiuso il coperchio".
Select "Non intervenire" from the "Quando viene chiuso il coperchio" dropdown.
Click "Salva cambiamenti".
Select "Non intervenire" from the "Quando viene chiuso il coperchio" dropdown.
