SUMo software update monitor

Post by StuartR »

I have been using SUMo Software Update Monitor for many years, to ensure that I know about updates to all the applications on my Windows PCs.

The server stopped responding this week, and I have just found out that the product is end-of-life and no longer supported.

What other tools are out there that can identify available software updates for applications running on my PC?

I'm trying Patch My PC Home Updater at the moment, but it supports far fewer applications than SUMo.
Best wishes,
Hans

There's a thread about this on AskWoody: https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/k ... ting-down/

If you use any number of portable programs, there is not currently a good solution. I've been searching for about a month. The ones I've found handle installed programs to one degree or another. The only one I've found that says they have plans to support portable apps is Ucheck. BUT, there is no timeframe and right now they only support one portable app - Adwcleaner.

I have tried a few of the suggestions and UpdateHub is my preferred option so far...

Thanks - Patch My PC finds available updates that UpdateHub doesn't find and vice versa, so I'll keep both.
