Annoying Adds - Pop Ups

Is there a way to stop programs I own, like Win Zip and Nero, from continually sending me pop up adds trying to get me to upgrade to their latest version?

Try the following:
- Click the Start button or press the Windows key.
- Type task scheduler
- Click on Task Scheduler in the search results.
- Check the list of scheduled tasks.
- Right-click each task that mentions WinZip or Nero and disable it.

Well I have another question. I followed the instructions above and found these programs listed in 2 areas. When first opening Task Scheduler it shows a Task Scheduler (Local) and down that page near the bottom there is a window called "Active Tasks." I thought that would be where I would disable these tasks but "Right Clicking" does not work there.

If I open Task Scheduler Library I also see these programs listed there and the "Right Click" works. So is that where I disable these programs?

I think I got rid of the pop ups for WinZip but am still getting them for Nero. I see nothing that says Nero in the Task Scheduler. Is there somewhere else I may be able to disable this pop up?

I found a suggestion that an application named Nero Info is the culprit. Do you have something like that in Settings > Apps or in the Programs and Features control panel? If so, uninstall it.
