FileZilla Host Connection

Post by jstevens »

I am having a challenge with a host connection. I can successfully connect from PC_01 (FileZilla Client) to PC_02 (FileZilla Server) within my LAN. It is when I try from another network to reach the PC_02 that I have the challenge.

I thought it would be simple as entering in a host connection of \\77.99.222.333\198.162.x.xx

Where 77.99.222.333 is the IP Address for accessing my network and 198.162.x.xx is PC_02.

Your advice is appreciated,
John

John

I was able to resolve the connection. All I needed to do was set the host connection to 77.99.222.333 and run a test on https://ftptest.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you still have a challenge connecting, it most likely is a firewall issue. Turn your firewall off and then perform the FTP test again and it should work.

I don't know very much about networking, but I'm pretty sure xxx.xxx.xxx.333 is not a valid IP address.

Paul,

You are correct xxx.xxx.xxx.333 is not a valid IP Address. I made up the host connection number for presentation purposes.
