Gift of the day - FileSearchy Pro 1.11

Post by BenCasey »

I have just downloaded this FileSearchy Pro 1.11 and it only provides 21 days.
Not much of a gift I think.

If you download from the Giveaway of the day site, it will provide a valid licence for the program on offer, which means that you will have unlimited access to it if you register the program with the licence key (either during install) or after install from the Help Menu (About command).

Did you get a licence key from the Giveaway site?
Open the README file that comes with the download and locate the licence key.

I downloaded the offer from the site and the readme file provides the necessary instructions.
Seems in this offer you have to run the Activate.exe file AFTER you have run Setup.exe.

Note: You must do this before the offer expires, else the licence becomes invalid!

Thanks Rudi,
I read the readme.txt file before I ran setup.exe
I have now ran the activate.exe but it still shows as Trial Version with 21 days left.

I'd suggest to rerun the Setup file, and then run the Activate file immediately after that. You should see the following screens (as below) if all has gone smoothly.
If it does not work, uninstall the application using Revo Uninstaller (to ensure all aspects of the app is removed (icl. the registry files) and reinstall.

Good luck :)

Thanks Rudi,
I uninstalled and then ran the setup followed by the Activate.

No change I am afraid. I have tried to upload a screen grab jpg to show you what it says on the Tools/Registration option but for some reason that is not appearing in this message.

Must be a bad day for me.

If all else fails, you can download the FREE version here.

Its just as good as the Pro version except that it does not have the File Filters at the top of the app. The search feature and search conditions are still powerful and fully operational. I have been using the free version for some time now and it works very well for me.
Note: Free edition may be used only for private use at home and not for profit.
