Robosizer

Post by BobH »

Could someone please tell me how to use Robosizer, please?

It runs in the background and does its work without intervention, or so I've read; but doesn't one have to make some settings or something to define how one wants it to behave? I cannot get the program to display; so I do not know if there is a menu with help or a tutorial. I've not found anything searching that is useful to me (but you all know how bad my searching skills are).

:thankyou: :chocciebar:

According to the review at PC World,
When you start it up, you will see a little robot face sitting in your Windows tray. Right-click that and choose the settings. It’s here that you need to set up your “profiles” – in other words, the settings for each program.

There should be a RoboSizer icon in the notification area (system tray) in the lower right corner of the screen. Right-click this icon to access the settings.
Best wishes,
Hans

As you can see, I have Robosizer running as a process in Task Manager:
Task Manager with robosizer.jpg
But, there is no icon in the systray:

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks for your help, Hans, Jay and Rudi!

For some reason Robosizer was behaving badly. I found the systray icon (I have too much in the tray for all of them to display - duh!), but I could not get to the controls by left or right clicking or double clicking.

I uninstalled it and installed it again from the same download. I can now right click on the icon and get to the controls. Now I have another question.

I set the controls for Online Forums to 800x480 which is about what I have been doing with Pixresizer. When I want to post a pic here, do I have to do something to make Robosizer choose that size or will it happen auto-magically?

:thankyou: :chocciebar:

It works! I posted some large pics on the Test board and they were properly sized.
