Does anyone know why hyperlinks in a PDF file work if the file is viewed using Adobe Reader, but don't work if the same file is viewed using Adobe Acrobat Pro? (In my case, both are version X or 10. I'm using Windows 7.)
By "don't work" I mean that nothing happens. I put my cursor over the link text in Acrobat and nothing changes or pops up (like it does in Reader).
If there's a setting in Acrobat that deactivates hyperlinks, I can't find it!
The http://www.supergold.govt.nz/info-for-c ... heets.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; page has some PDF files with hyperlinks.
Regards.
William

Re: Adobe Acrobat and hyperlinks in PDF files
Doh! I've since found the answer myself.
There's a setting in "Edit | Preferences | General | Create links from URLs" that needs to be selected - and, if changed, is only recognized if Acrobat is closed and then re-opened (which is the step I hadn't been doing).
Time to go home methinks.
