What is it you are trying to install? - Windows 7 or other software?

Office 2010 x32 BETA.
The language OS is EN-US.
Could modification of Config.xml help? How?
BTW, installing the x64 version won't cause any issue.

Windows 7 Ultra x64
The Office 2010 product in question is Project. It's available on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/eval ... 04758.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

At the above link, there is the following
The Project Professional 2010 Beta software is available in the following languages:
Chinese (Simplified), English, French, German, Japanese, Russian and Spanish
Which did you actually download?

That's exactly the core issue. It doesn't matter which language.
On the contrary, the x64 version works perfectly.

Being that it is Beta I would find their Beta board and post this question there.

I have moved this thread from the Windows 7 forum to the Beta Software forum since it is primarily a Project 2010 Beta problem.
Best wishes,
Hans

Actually, whether beta or not, this is a perpetual old issue widely documented since 2007 as shown in the Google Search.
Thanks anyway.

Microsoft Direct Support Email

Post by armsys »

Referring to http://www.eileenslounge.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=1882" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, it has been followed up by a purported Microsoft Technical Support for a week, but remains unresolved. They were referred by Dell China. Their unusually sluggish progress and lack of in-depth Windows technical knowledge (such as Registry) prompts me to find out they are no Microsoft. They are called Wicresoft (http://www.wicresoft.com/pagesE/index.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). They are located in China. I'm perplexed why in every email and phone call they pretend to be Microsoft.

Do you know any direct Microsoft technical support email address?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Armstrong

Microsoft might well have outsourced support in China to a local company, but I don't have any information about that.

Microsoft rarely publishes direct e-mail support addresses.

The links for support in Hong Kong can be found at Support Options, e.g. Telephone Support.
Best wishes,
Hans
