I have a file that has a kml (keyhole markup language extension - which is supposed to be a google earth format) extension.
When I google kml extension I come up with entries saying they will fix kml errors. Not sure what to do - they point at a Pareto logic app that is supposed to fix driver errors, when it runs it says I have 11 driver errors, but nothing telling me how to open the file.
Has anyone worked with these files? If so what would I use to open one?

Re: kml extension
Skip all the free scan/driver error nonsense, it's just advertising.
.kml files can be used by Google Maps / Google Earth and by Bing Maps (formerly Microsoft Virtual Earth).
In order to view a .kml file with Google Maps, it must be hosted on a website, so you'd have to upload it to a web page first.

Re: kml extension
Tom, I have attached a KML file of one of my fun hiking spots (quite well known in Southern Utah). Since kml is not an allowed extension, I have renamed the file as a .txt file. Perhaps you can rename it back and import it into G Earth to see what it can do?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
