own Site - how to add a download/upload method

hi,
I have installed a personal web server (PWS) and have got that going.
I also have an hTML edit and have created a home page and 2 sub-pages.

Is it possible for me to add a method up downloading files and uploading them (different folders) or is that a step too far for a novice?

Hi, I have managed to get the download buttons working.

Now for the upload bit (I think that is going to be a bit harder)

I cannot start to tell you what to try, but it might help others to assist if you can inform what software you used to create the Web Server? maybe XAMPP or Apache or on Linux?
