How do I turn off Avast's firewall?
I am running Avast Free Antivirus 5.0. Is there a way to turn off the Firewall with a single button click? Or do I need to go into each of the following and individually disable each of them: File System Shield, Mail Shield, Web Shield, P2P Shield, IM Shield, Network Shield and Behavior Shield?

I was going to post this link: How to Disable an Avast Firewall, but then I noticed that avast! Free does not include a firewall - you need avast! Internet Security for that...
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Best wishes,

IIRC, the various Avast "Shields" are just their terms for a/v funtionality to cover scanning files in differing areas on your system. The "Shields" have nothing to do with a firewall (at least in their basic product).

Avast installs in Icon next to the clock in the lower right corner of the monitor.
Right-click the icon and chose "avast shields control"

In that case, I guess it's not Avast's Firewall that's giving me connectivit issues ...
