Re: AVOID TrueCrypt v7.2
I use TrueCrypt and am still on ver. 7.1a
It will be interesting to see any followups and commentary on this version and the aforementioned issue.
TX for the heads-up!

Re: AVOID TrueCrypt v7.2
I echo Hans' sentiment!
I also use TrueCrypt on my (soon to be upgraded) XP machine and my Win 7 Home Premium and Win 8 laptops. I'll have to check which version(s) I'm running.
I'm pretty sure the messages are false regarding integrated support for encryption in Win Vista+ in that BitLocker is NOT an option on Win 7 Home versions per my recent research on upgrading my XP box.
With bad publicity on Microsoft's other file/folder encryption schemes that left people locked out of their files with NO recourse, I don't plan to use BitLocker any time soon until it gets lots of play time under it's belt.
Anyone have suggestions on alternatives should TC prove untrustworthy as well?
