Hi Folks,
I visit this Forum & 2 others a few times daily.
I normally don't have to log-in.
I did my last visit 7 hours ago, when finished, my Laptop was shutdown.
On my visit 7 hours later, I had to log-in to all 3 Forums.

To my knowledge, NO updates were made, and I never did any maintainence.
-
My browser is FF, it is not programmed to clear anything when closed & have'nt used CCleaner.
I believe my security is very good. So what has caused this to happen.

Re: PC Security
Hi George,
perhaps your cache has been flushed, happens to me from time to time, but, generally only on secure sites. Other than a guess, I can't really offer anything else. Maybe another loungers has other ideas.

Re: PC Security
Hi Claude,
If it was the cache that was flushed, it was not initiated by me.

Re: PC Security
I had this problem a while ago with Internet Explorer - although I had set it to preserve cookies, it would randomly delete some of them on exit, so that I had to log in again the next time. It never happened to me for Eileen's Lounge, though. I never found the cause or a solution, but the problem finally went away after an update to IE.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: PC Security
I have this happen to me "every so often" on Firefox (the only browser I use).
I have no idea why it happens, but it is a useful memory-jogger that you need to have all these passwords (securely) available...

Re: PC Security
Sorry, George. I don't see what you believe to be the cause of your problem. The only differences between your settings and mine is that I override automatic cache management and limit cache to 30 MB.

It looks to me, that FF has 'Automatic Cache Management'.PaulB wrote:Sorry, George. I don't see what you believe to be the cause of your problem. The only differences between your settings and mine is that I override automatic cache management and limit cache to 30 MB.

Re: PC Security
I have the exact same settings on my FX. Not set to override and cache limit is 350mb .( I think that's the default ) When I just now looked, I was only using 58mb of content cache.Roderunner wrote:I think I've found the cause.
