Unwelcome e-Cards

Post by RonH »

I am confident that Eileen's members are savvy about 'clicking' and possible issues arising.
Recently, I have been getting quite a few e-Card emails telling me to 'click here' to see the card. Very professional email layout ... BUT looking at the sender address it ain't anyone I know :groan: Action: Immeadiate delete and Block Sender.
Seems there are lots of e-Card scams around just now ...

None recently received here, but our mailserver is pretty savvy about these things, checking both content and sender's domain, and now 99% of incoming spam is either blocked or returned.

Other than carrying on doing what you are (deleting on arrival), there's probably not a lot more you can do. Any decent anti-virus software should block you from visiting 'dubious' sites should you inadvertently click. Our Kaspersky certainly does!
