I have more confidence in Mozilla Thunderbird than I have in myself, but what am I doing wrong here?
I noticed in a recent email that not all my mis-spellings were highlit:
My first thought: "Maybe I had added interetsing to my dictionary"
But no. My "persdict.dat" file in C:\Users\ChrisC\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\wvaojbbs.default shows up like this:
No sign of interetsing there.
I'm stumped as to why Thunderbird would think that interetsing (and other typos I effect) is OK.

Re: Thunderbird spell-check anomaly (v3.0.2)
I don't know if it's a difference in our versions, Chris (3.1.9 here) but it catches those two incorrect words for me.
The only problem I ever noticed about its dictionary is that there are the occasional word or two that it doesn't recognize as legit.

There is a good "read' on Mozilla spellcheck here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Spell_checking" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
P.S. Why not upgrade to version 4?

It's as I thought.
The web cam I don't have beams my image to web-based software which says "Oh, it's Chris again. let's malfunction ...."
Maybe I'll uninstall and throw a six and try again ...

I've never let petty details such as out-of-date versions sway my decisions.
Also, not a bad idea to check "Mozilla Firefox" too because, well, er, don't Firefox and Thunderbird share the same spell-checker code and/or dictionary?
Anyway, I read the article; a little knowledge can't hurt me, can it?
And maybe I'll upgrade Thunderbird after/if I RevoUninstall it.
P.S. I'm waiting for someone to suggest that I delete the dictionary, even every instance of it, reboot, and try again. If no-one suggests that soon I'll just have to do it anyway off my own bat.

Lordy Chris, if ya decide to upgrade TB to a newer version, I wouldn't "Revo" the old one. Shouldn't be necessary with TB.
