Thanks John for info.
Yes, you have usage in the way I was used to in earlier editions of T'bird. Maybe my T'bird 115 will 'self correct' at some future update ... Interestingly I am not alone so something is amiss.

Re: Thunderbird 115 Supernova
There have been numerous issues listed in Tbird Support Forum regarding Version 115 and as a result I have stopped further updates from my version 115.3.1. This version seems to be functioning OK for me at least ... though I am a basic user just for email with Local Folder filing which at the end of each month I upload to Mailstore App.
There have been two updates since my version ... the most recent being 115.4.1 just advised.
Question: Has anyone now installed this recent update and has it proved OK?

Thanks John for info. I often wonder if most software issues are a result of 'user set up'. I know someone who is a good example of 'I want to do it my way' ...

Re: Thunderbird 115 Supernova
Just an update.
Version 115.4.2 is released. I am staying on 115.3.1 for the time being because I am not experiencing any issues.
But this may be useful information ... with thanks to sfhowes
If you're already on 115, you shouldn't have any issues with further updates to the 115 branch, as some, but not all, problems are fixed with each 115 release. The time to hesitate is when the annual major release is offered around June/July. Wait a few months for the major bugs to be fixed, or run two versions side-by-side.

Re: Thunderbird 115 Supernova
OK ... I am now at update 115.4.2 and no issues found yet.
From Wayne Mery, T'bird Support: To be more specific, point releases like 115.4.2, 115.4.3, 115,5.0. etc are bug fix releases and do not introduce major changes as did 102 to 115. You should do the point releases.
