OK, I jinxed myself in posting earlier to Chris' thread about email addresses. Now my Thunderbird Message Filters are not working properly. Can someone, please, give me a link to a wiki on the subject or a Mozilla Knowledge Base article?
I've posted this on the Mozilla forum, but have not had good luck there lately. It seems that I cannot get their KB Search function to perform. I get only a screen displaying a google copyright notice.
I despise google. I don't like the business model that requires me to give up privacy and allow data collection about my online habits in order to use their service.
My regular search engine in iXquick.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Filters_%28Thunderbird%29" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/or ... ng-filters" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If those don't give you the answer you want, then they should link to places that will.

Re: Thunderbird Message Filters
Thank you for the help. I found the Mozilla Knowledge Base article and am going thru it carefully to see if I can identify my problem(s). I've learned that the filters are specific to mailboxes and where the filter data is stored AND that the native message filter does not support wild cards. More to learn from here.
