Using Google as 'master control' of email

Post by RonH »

I guess that you have read this Woody article:
https://windowssecrets.com/top-story/go ... your-mail/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I link all my email accounts including Gmail using Windows (Live) Mail which gives me good access to each account (Outlook, Gmail, POP3) and which allows me to save emails locally on my pc within the Storage Folders. At the end of each month, I also save emails to an external HD just in case of a pc fail.
What advantages (if any) will Google 'on line' offer me :scratch:

It's a matter of preference, I think.

Woody's article is mainly intended for people who want to move away from Microsoft Office Outlook because it's too complicated or too expensive.
Windows Live Mail is neither complicated nor expensive.

If you're satisfied with Windows Live Mail, I see no pressing reason to switch.
Best wishes,
Hans
