Hans has made an uncharacteristic typo there. He means "...Windows 10".

To restate what Hans said, the operating system your computer is running is Windows 7, which was a successor of Windows XP. Windows 7 will stop getting security updates in January 2020 so you really need to think seriously about updating your computer's operating system from Windows 7 to the latest version, which is Windows 10.

However, a computer just running an operating system doesn't really do anything useful. To use your computer to send emails or surf the web or write documents etc. you need different types of applications. You surf the web with a 'browser' and from other posts you've made we know you use Firefox for that. This thread shows that for email you are using Outlook 2007. Outlook is part of a suite of applications (the other main applications in the Office suite are Word to write documents, Excel to 'do sums' and PowerPoint to make presentations). The latest version of the Office suite is Office 2019, meaning the latest version of Outlook is Outlook 2019. To buy the latest version of Office can be quite expensive but you can also get Office for a monthly subscription. The subscription version of Office is called Office 365. Office 365 gets small updates every month so the latest version of Outlook 365 is Outlook 365 version 1909 (1909 = year 2019, month 9).

By the way, don't confuse Outlook with Outlook Express (OE). Yes, they are both email applications but they are different email applications. Outlook Express (OE) is very old and I don't think it works if your computer's operating system is Windows 7. It did work on Windows XP so I guess that's why you mention 'OE', you probably used OE when you had Windows XP but had to switch to using Outlook when your computer's operating system was updated from XP to Windows 7.

Don't be afraid to ask us to explain all that again  It can seem very confusing.
