I am having a challenge with the Gmail Calendar I added to Outlook 2010. When I try to add a meeting or event I receive an error message that says, "You cannot make changes to contents of this read-only folder".
Is there a work-around? From what I have read online one should be able to modify the calendar.
Thanks for taking a look,
John

Re: Outlook 2010: Gmail Calendar Is Read-Only
"Out of the box", a Gmail calendar will always be read-only in Outlook. There used to be a Google Calendar Sync utility, but (1) it only worked with a business or educational Gmail account, and (2) it doesn't work anymore since August 1, 2014.
So you need a 3rd party utility, e,g, CompanionLink for Google. See Sync Google Calendar with Outlook.

I use gSyncit for this. It cost a few pounds but works very well.
