In Outlook 2013 for some reason I am not getting the contacts to act as I want them to. When I enter a new contact I want it filed by last name first and I thought I had it set up that way as I believe is displayed in the attachments. However in the third attachment you can see that unless I use the drop down arrow John Jones will be files as John Jones and not Jones, John. Why is this added necessary? Do I have something set up wrong in the other two attachments?
Thanks

Re: Outlook 2013 Contacts List - File As
If you want to be able to enter a full name as John Jones, you must set the Default "Full Name" order to First (Middle) Last, not to Last First.
Since you have now set it to Last First, John is seen as the last name and Jones as the first name.
If you'd prefer to leave the Default "Full Name" order set to Last First, you must enter new names that way: Jones John or Jones, John.
Since you have now set it to Last First, John is seen as the last name and Jones as the first name.
If you'd prefer to leave the Default "Full Name" order set to Last First, you must enter new names that way: Jones John or Jones, John.
Best wishes,
Hans
