Hi,
Up until today, I have always been able to click on a url link in the email to be taken direct to that site (eg, Eileens topics) but for some reason it has stopped working.
It doesn't seem to make any difference whether the email is opened or just viewed in the reading pane, the clickability is no longer working.
I can find nothing in the Options to indicate that this is a user option.
Can anybody throw any light on this?
Thanks

Re: Clicking URLS no longer working
Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?
Or does nothing happen when you click a link?

No msg, Hans. Just does nothing. If I hover on it, it shows the details.
The only thing I can do is hover on it, then click on "copy hyperlink", then
go to my browsers, open a new tab and then post it there.
Thanks

Although you don't get an error message, you could try the appropriate Microsoft Fix-it in Hyperlinks are not working in Outlook.
Best wishes,
Hans

Just to mention, the 'fix' changed my default browser to IE.
Simply enough to change it back again but thought I would mention it.

Re: Clicking URLS no longer working
Apparently IE is so deeply integrated into Windows that it's necessary to (1) reset IE and (2) make IE the default browser temporarily to correct the problem...
Best wishes,
Hans

Hi Hans,
I didn't have to do this. It changed it from Chrome to IE on the fly.
Then it fixed the problem.
All I had to do then was open Chrome, go to Settings and click on Make this the Default Browser.
Bingo. I was back with it all working as before.

Yes, I know - resetting IE and making it the default browser is part of the Fix-it.
Best wishes,
Hans
