For some reason, all of my Jan 1 – June 29, 2012 events are archived in my 2011 rather than 2012 archive. I have my Calendar in Archive Folders 2011 open side by side with my Calendar in Archive Folders 2012 and am able to drag one-by-one each of these 2012 appointments from the 2011 archive into the 2012 archive, but is there a more efficient way to select all of the Jan 1 – June 29 appointments and drag them over in one shot?
I also found almost three weeks of archives (Aug. 8 – Sept. 25, 2012) not moved to my 2012 archive but rather to a file called archive.pst that Outlook created on its own when I failed to indicate that all of my archives should be stored to my 2012 archive file when I moved to my new computer. I also want to move all of those items to my 2012 archive file and hope there might be a simpler method than an item-by-item drag and drop.

Re: Moving files from one archive to another in Outlook 2003
If you view the "source" calendar in a list view (for example by category), and sort it by date, you can easily select a bunch of appointments that you want to move by clicking on the first, then shift+clicking on the last. Then drag them to the "target" calendar in one go.
Best wishes,
