Outlook 2003 freezing when I click on archive

Post by jmt356 »

I started archiving a very large Inbox last month. Now, when I go into the archive, Outlook freezes. An hourglass appears and Outlook becomes unresponsive. Can I run the Inbox Repair Tool on the archive?
Regards,

JMT

exit Outlook, search for scanpst.exe and run it againsta all you .pst files, generally fixes the problem.
Cheers, Claude.

If this is a .pst file that was originally created in Outlook 2002 or before, 2 GB is the maximum size. You cannot increase its size.
If you create a new .pst file in Outlook 2003, its maximum size is 20 GB.
Best wishes,
Hans

True, I must do a lot of options settings and adding of accounts, but this also forces me to remember how to do these things.
