Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
That usually happens when Chrome is still active when you run CCleaner. There might be an invisible Chrome process - you can check that in the Processes tab of Task Manager.
Best wishes,

Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
Hi Hans, I tried as you said, and with processes for all users selected, no Google entry was showing, it still skipped all Chrome.
I restarted my Laptop checked Task Manager and with processes for all users selected, no Google entry was showing, it still skipped all Chrome.

Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
Does it make a difference if you start CCleaner by right-clicking it and selecting 'Run as Administator' from the context menu?
If not:
See if Why is Chrome cleaning being skipped? helps.
Also: do you have other Google processes running in Task Manager, such as Google Cloud Printer? If so, end those and try again.

Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
I retried all your suggestions plus I signed out of my account then clicked More (3 dots) and clicked 'Exit'. Did a restart. Still being skipped.
Never had this much trouble with FF.
Thanks Hans.

What about a fresh install of CCleaner. Chrome is my default browser and I have not experienced your issues.Roderunner wrote:I retried all your suggestions plus I signed out of my account then clicked More (3 dots) and clicked 'Exit'. Did a restart. Still being skipped.

Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
Since my last visit here, having done as Hans suggested, I cleared the browsing data on my Laptop and still Cc skipped Chrome.
I am on my Desktop pc, first step open Cc, no Chrome or TBird running and got this:-

Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
For Bob, done a reinstall of Ccleaner, still being skipped.
I have a new version of Cc. on Laptop. It has been shutdown for 3 hours.
First thing I did was to try Cc. I gave top pic in my image, I clicked yes. In second pic I clicked yes. Cc now deletes Chrome cookies.
Now to Revo uninstall Chrome and replace it.
Wish me luck.

Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
Thanks to all for your unselfish assistance.
Chrome has been reinstalled, all my settings are as I want them (to the best of my knowledge) And Ccleaner now runs and cleans Chrome.

Re: Chrome Skipped by Ccleaner?
Update,
can anyone recommend a trusted online virus/malware scanner.
I use Avast Free & Windows Firewall. MBAM is not agreeable with my computers for reasons unknown.
