Can anyone offer a technique for locating the web pages previously viewed, and assumed to be contained in some form in the browser cache, containing a unique "string" in the text?
Using Chrome as my browser.
I have looked at NirSoft's ChromeCacheView to locate the files that may contain text (non-image files), and then export the files to another folder. Then perform a grep-like operation (findstr) to see which files contain the string, but I was hoping for an easier solution if one exists.
Doesn't always work as the text "string" on web pages may not directly be "string" in a "text" content-type file.

Can't you just go to the Chrome history page and search from there.
