Chrome won't install
When the security issue came up on IE9, I thought I'd reinstall Chrome on my laptop running Win7 Pro SP1. Unfortunately, I run the setup and get a message that the "installation failed" and nothing else. It's probably a registry issue since I did have Chrome installed at one time. I dipped a toe into Google groups, but I hate the format and couldn't find anything useful. Has anyone else run into this and solved it?

Re: Chrome won't install
Microsoft has released an update for Internet Explorer at 12:00 PM PDT that should plug the security hole.
If you still want to install Chrome, you could try the Microsoft Fix it Fix problems with programs that can't be installed or uninstalled.
You might also try the Stand-Alone Installer for Chrome.
