Hi anyone,
As you all know; recently Facebook has introduced Facebook check-in feature via the phone. But we could check in through the PC also for the following website.
touch.facebook.com
But if the place I want to check in is not in the check-in list, it tells me to add the place.
When I try to ad the place it gives me error saying something went wrong.
My question of concern is that how could I add a place from my pc so that I could check-in via PC.
Any help on this would be kindly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Facebook check-in from firefox
I am a HEAVY Facebook user but almost never from my smartphone, so I don't know anything about the "check-in" feature.adam wrote:... error saying something went wrong...
What I DO know 'cause I experience it frequently that Facebook's "...something went wrong..." is a very popular message from them! It's usually temporary in MY experience and whatever I was doing that cause that message later works OK.

I've tried it a couple of times. But still I'm not succeeding with that.

Following is the message that comes each time I try?
Sorry, something went wrong.
Please try again. If that does not work, please reload.

Re: Facebook check-in from firefox
This is not a feature of mobile Fb that I use but...
I have found that if you make your Firefox pretend to be an iphone (using Useragent Switcher addon) and then vsit touch.facebook.com the geo-checkin works correctly.
Most likely as the checkin feature is aimed at smartphones it has some compatibilty issues with desktop browsers - foxing the useragent to appear as a phone gets around this.
Disclaimer - I have never and will never use the checkin feature for anything other than tinkering - call me old fashioned but I don't see the need to broadcast my physical location. If people really want to find me, they can ring my phone!
