AOL (webmail) No sound re new mail

Post by mipendance »

Past few days I do not get the notification in Firefox (v. 59.0.1), tho I do get it in Pale Moon and IE. Am running Windows 7. A web search doesn’t yield any information. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Does it help if you turn off the notification in Options > Mail Settings in Firefox, then turn them on again?
Best wishes,
Hans

I must admit, Hans, I never was aware of those options until you directed me there!

I enabled "Allow" AOL under Permissions (have no Mail Settings options on the Privacy & Security page).

Exited FF, restarted. Still no sound....

No, I meant the options in the AOL Webmail page, not those of Firefox itself.
Best wishes,

Yes, I had tried that yesterday. Worked only once. When I signed in again later that day, no sound.

I found one other mention of the same problem (unless it was you under a different name), so there might not be a solution. You could post the problem on the Mozilla community support forum.
Best wishes,
Hans
