Using latest Firefox and Google Search.
How can I get rid of that very annoying NAG that always shows up asking to use Chrome or make Google my homepage?

Yes, I do accept all cookies including third party. (persistent?)HansV wrote:Do you accept persistent cookies from Google?
Do you think if I exempt Google.com it would eliminate that nag?

Re: Google Nag
No - I thought that nag might not be redisplayed if you allow (and keep) cookies from Google. But there are reports that the message is displayed even if you have made Google your home page...
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Google Nag
I tried it both ways and no difference, either wants me to change to Chrome or set the Google homepage.HansV wrote:No - I thought that nag might not be redisplayed if you allow (and keep) cookies from Google. I just now removed and reinstalled Adblock Plus and have used Google Search and SO FAR it hasn't popped up yet.
I'll give it a day or two and see if that helped?

Use Ixquick or DuckDuckGo instead of google for searching.

Re: Google Nag
I'll second that. I find DuckDuckGo as good as, if not better than, Google. And no nags! One neat benefit is that DDG places a checkmark next to any site I visit so that I can easily see which sites I have seen.BobH wrote:Use Ixquick or DuckDuckGo instead of google for searching.

Re: Google Nag
I also use DuckDuckGo as my default search engine. But I still use Google search from my Android phone, because it's better integrated.

Re: Google Nag
So far, so good, with Google nags absent.
Of course, now that I've posted this, it will be right back?
