Occasional inability to close tabs

Post by John Gray »

I was hoping that the just-received Firefox 41.0.1 would have cured the recent problem where tabs occasionally stubbornly refuse to close, but the problem is still present. I have to close the browser and restart.

Do the developers recognise this matter, does anyone know?

Can't say I've ever seen that one John.

Which will be the cue for it to crop up...

Have you been through the 'disable all add-ons then put them back one at a time until the problem reappears' routine?

I was just about to post the same thing Ken!

John, uninstall each of your add-ons one by one until you figure out which one is causing the problem...

I appreciate the thought , but I haven't added any new addons for months!
And it won't let me actually display the add-ons list, either...

So it could be an old add-on that's not compatible with more recent versions of FF.
