I can't work out what's changed but as of about a week ago the Google search bar in my GB Firefox is returning hits from google.com instead of google.co.uk.
Any suggestions?

Update: it appears to be a bug in Firefox 40 - see Since Firefox 40 Google Search using .com not .co.uk for a discussion and workarounds.
Best wishes,

Thanks Hans, I'd already seen the first link you give but it is too old, the 'keyword.url' preference it refers to no longer exists/works.
I'm at work now so I can't test anything in your second link until this evening but although I noticed the issue when I was on FF 40 it's still there now that I'm on FF 41.

Re: Google search returning $ not £
I've got the search behaviour back to how I think it should be by:
1) going to about:preferences#search
2) at the bottom choosing 'Add more search engines...'
3) adding the top option for 'Google Default' (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefo ... src=search)
The other stuff in the second link that Hans, from jscher2000 (there's a name form the past), about drilling down to a google.xml file to see if it said google.com didn't work. When I enter resource:///chrome/ I can see an en-GB folder but I can't get into it.
