And are they gone forever or do they exist somewhere on my system?
Today, I use Glary Software Utilities to identify and download several updates to programs on my system. I only saved the files and did not run them. When I went back to run them, they no longer appear in Tools>Downloads drop down list.
Is this another case of senility? Or, worse, further confirmation of my ID 10 T user status?

Have you looked in your download folder in Windows Explorer? By default, it is C:\Users\<username>\Downloads, but you can view/change the actual setting in the General tab of Firefox's Options dialog:
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thank you, Mr. V!
Yes, I found the files using Windows File Manager (or whatever it's called these days). I remembered having seen the directory for Downloads and found them there. I guess FFx has some routine whereby they do not display the files after some event takes place.
Either that or I was confirming both senility AND my user status . . .

BobH - at some point you must explain what "ID 10 T user status" means!

Hey Bob, you can apply for a new user number. I hear the Admins in this joint are quite accommodating.
PS: The form work is a bit cumbersome, but I think a new number is worth the fuss!
PPS: John...you don't want to know!!!!! Really!

Well, since you asked . . .John Gray wrote:BobH - at some point you must explain what "ID 10 T user status" means!
Written the way I did, it looks like "eye dee ten tee"
But, when written thusly "ID10T" it's much easier to understand the meaning.
It is a term used by many support desks to categorize the disposition of support calls.
