Re: Update: Firefox 29 released
I can't see any great difference between the interface in Fx 29 compared with 28, other than that the top inch of the screen has been messed around with again, and you don't seem to be able to move the tabs down.
The Google toolbar (as amended) still works.
Have the FX developers added an "Are you sure?" prompt yet to the "Remove All Cookies" button?

Re: Update: Firefox 29 released
The main differences in the interface are:
- Rounded tabs that make Firefox look more like Chrome.
- The Firefox button has been replaced with a 'hamburger' button on the right hand side of the address bar.
See Firefox 29 (new interface) released: Find out what is new for more info.

It doesn't look like a specific type of hamburger...

Re: Update: Firefox 29 released
Firefox does now look more of a Chrome clone. I don't mind the new look, but if anybody wants the old look, the Classic Theme Restorer add-on allows you to customize the look to be similar to the old theme.

People who don't like the new look might consider switching to the Pale Moon browser - see Pale Moon 24.5.0.

Re: Update: Firefox 29 released
I think I will be able to get accustomed to the new look of the default theme
But I will never be able to use the 'Birdies on a wire' theme ever again.

Re: Update: Firefox 29 released
I don't see the minimize\full screen\exit buttons in the upper right corner?

Is that a walnut next to the Home button?

That's with the Walnut 2 theme for Open Menu. How appropriate!Rudi wrote:Is that a walnut next to the Home button?

It looks like your theme doesn't play nicely with the new interface (yet)...viking33 wrote:I don't see the minimize\full screen\exit buttons in the upper right corner?

Re: Update: Firefox 29 released
I suppose that's it, Hans but when the install of Ver29 finished and it checked for any incompatible add-ons, it said there was a new version of the Walnut 2 theme available, so I got the new version of the theme as recommended. However, even before I updated the theme and the default "blah" Firefox theme was showing, there were also no buttons up in the right corner showing.HansV wrote:It looks like your theme doesn't play nicely with the new interface (yet)...viking33 wrote:I don't see the minimize\full screen\exit buttons in the upper right corner?
I have found that if I click on the area where the exit button should be, it does exit me out of Fx but no deal on the other two functions.

Re: Update: Firefox 29 released
Strange - I do get the three standard buttons (close, maximize, minimize).

Somehow, I seem to get the strange ones!HansV wrote:Strange - I do get the three standard buttons (close, maximize, minimize).
I have sent an email to the author of Walnut 2 to see if he can make anything of it.
He is from your neck of the woods in The Netherlands, name of Alfred Kayser. Perhaps you know him and can speak directly to him about this?
