Hello -
Firefox 26 –
trying to disable Match Case. Read suggestions on Web about going to Edit on menu bar, clicking Find and seeing options there. I do not have any options.
When I go into about:config, I see accessibility.typeaheadfind.casesensitive;0
Please advise how to have Find NOT be case sensitive. Thank you

Re: Find - disable Match Case
Hi,
Have you tried installing the Find Toolbar Add-In? Does this not provide options for you to disable the case sensitive find?

Re: Find - disable Match Case
Another piece of advice I found was that it could be Theme related.
Try this if the first reply does not work...
1. Go to Tools->Addons
2. Click themes
3. Firefox default
4. Use theme
5. Restart firefox.
Try a Find now...make sure the Match Case option is unchecked...

Hi, Rudi -
I am using the default Theme.
Find Toolbar Tweak won't work in Ff 26.
Thank you for the suggestions.

Re: Find - disable Match Case
If you press Ctrl+F, you should see the Find bar at the bottom of the Firefox window. Match Case should be on the right hand side of this bar. If it's highlighted, click it to turn it off.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Best wishes,
Hans

Chagrined----I 'discovered' that proper names won't be found unless you do capitalize the first letter in the name. Didn't realize Find was so 'proper.'
Thanks to all.
Edit: I now see what you mean, Hans: I was looking for a colored highlight, not for it to be boxed. Sorry, and thanks.
