May be of interest ... perhaps IE 10 is the 'way to go' now instead of eg Chrome.

Can you block (almost) all adverts in IE10?
If No,
then it's not the way to go,
IMHO.

You can use the Tracking Protection feature combined with a tracking protection list, for example that of AdBlock Plus, to block most advertisements.
