Table won't close

Hi everyone.
I have a table that when opened in datasheet view will not close. If I enter into design mode, I see the following message:
"The tables "volumes" is already opened exclusively by another user, or it is already open through the user interface and cannot be manipulated programmatically."

The table isn't open elsewhere. Any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it?

Does your database contain a table named Volumes?

Yes it does. Is that a restricted name?

No, but does the table you can't close contain a field with a lookup to the Volumes table?
