Output report HTML

Post by D Willett »

Hi
I've been testing Allen Brownes http://allenbrowne.com/AppOutputHtml.html example for outputting reports to html.
The project includes a css file to format the report.

I know nothing about css...

Do any users use a utility to edit a css file visually so I can make my reports interesting?

Cheers

CSS can be pretty complicated, but this one is very simple. You can edit it in NotePad.

The style sheet defines the way the following elements look:
BODY: the 'main' text.
TABLE: general table formatting.
th: formatting for the table header.
td: formatting for table cells.
H1 to H4: the heading styles, comparable to Heading 1 to Heading 4 in Word.

Cheers Hans. I was hoping to find a downloadable editor with visual controls instead of notepad word etc.
There seems to be many but it looks like a minefield ....

Simple CSS is a free utility that lets you create and edit style sheets (to edit an existing one, start a new project, then click Import CSS to import the definitions).
