In my class, I use a different color and bold font to emphasize part of a long paragraph. It does its job on projection, but doesn't do as good a job on paper. Unless I print in color, the color disappears in black&white print, and the bold typeface does present itself in an original print but can get lost in subsequent copies of the original.
What kind of font embellishment will show up nice on screen as well as on printed paper? (I'm excluding painstaking and time-consuming measures such as enlarging the font by 2 pts, etc.)
Font embellishment that shows up best on print?

Although it is frowned upon nowadays as a relic from the days of the typewriter, underlining stands out both on screen and on paper.
Best wishes,

Simply bolding the text can work if you choose to use a font type that places more emphasis on bold. With Arial, the bold seems to fade into the standard font, but with Century Gothic and Tahoma, the bold stands out quite well in both mediums...
