Multiple slide format changes

Post by Diana van den Berg »

Is there a way of selecting many, but not all slides (e.g. all but the first one) and changing the title font in all of them at the same time?

Thank you for any help.

Hello Diana,

Activate the View tab of the ribbon.
Click Slide Master.
This will automatically activate the Slide Master tab of the ribbon.
Click below the last slide layout.
Click Insert Slide Master on the ribbon.
Modify the slide master and/or any of the layouts below it to suit your needs.
When you're done, right-clcik your new slide master (the big one).
Select Rename Master from the context menu.
Assign an appropriate name and click OK.
Activate the Slide Master tab of the ribbon again.
Click Close Master View.
Select the slides that you want to reformat.
On the Home tab of the ribbon, click Layout.
Select your custom master, then select an appropriate layout under that master.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thank you for your reply Hans.

I must have done something wrong, because I tried that and it wiped out the title text box and the info text box. It didn't put a new one in either. In Slide Master, I selected the one with a picture and a title and subtitle. I deleted the page number the footer and the date as I didn't want those and made sure that the font and font size in the 2 text boxes was what I wanted.

I can edit each text box, but i have 66 slides besides the first page that I added so that makes 132 text boxes where I simply need to change the font and size (which were changed when I put in the cover slide at the beginning).

I have it working now, thanks, except that the picture covers the text. However, I will try again and get it exactly right, but, worst case scenario, moving 66 pictures is a lot quicker than changing 132 text boxes font and font size.

Thanks again, Hans
