The error message seems very clear. You can't install 64 bit office applications if you already have 32 bit office applications installed.
I would recommend that this user deinstalls ALL office apps, and then reinstalls the versions that they actually want to use, this is very likely to be 32 bit office as there are very few people who can benefit from the 64 bit versions

Unfortunately, I have found that - particularly with new machines - 64-bit is the default option offered and this is what most user install.

That is unhelpful, almost everybody will be better off with the 32 bit versions

Thank you everyone for your assistance....
After numerous failed attempts to install the Microsoft office (even 32 bit) we decided to restore the pc back to factory settings. After the factory settings were reset, the Microsoft Office was then installed and functioned perfectly. I'm not sure what could have caused the issue in the first place, maybe the previous version of Microsoft Office 365 (online version) was the culprit.
