I am working with an Excel file that contains a large amount of data. How can I put a password on this file so that only people who know the password can access it?

Welcome to Eileen's Lounge!
Select File > Info.
Click on 'Protect Workbook'.
Select 'Encrypt with Password'.
Enter a password. Do not forget it!
Click OK. You will be asked to enter the password again as confirmation.
Save the workbook.
Next time that anyone tries to open the workbook, they will have to provide the password.
