Hi,
I have a file which had external links, i am trying to break all external links using Edit links option in Data menu however some links just don't break.
I have no idea where are those external links located, those files are possibly not in my system as well. There are no references to other files in the name manager as well.
Can anyone suggest me a way out ? Can't upload the file here since it has client's data.
Regards
Shreeram

Re: External links don't break
Select File > Info.
Click 'Edit Links to Files' on the right hand side, under 'Related Documents'.
Click each link in turn and click 'Break Link'.
Does that help?

Does the workbook contain pictures that might be linked?
Does the workbook contain charts? If so, inspect the source data of the charts.

Re: External links don't break
The links could also be in defined names, data validation, conditional formatting, and default table column formulas (the latter can be particularly troublesome).
