Copying text from Edge web site
I'm copying text from an edge web site. The pasted text is really small, so I'd wish to change the font in Excel 2007, but don't se where that might be accomplished.

1) Select the cell(s) with the pasted text. Set the font size to (for example) 12.
2) With the cells still selected, click the arrow in the lower right corner of the Alignment group on the Home tab of the ribbon.
Make sure that the 'Shrink to fit' check box is clear (not ticked).

Yes I am able to do that after the text has been pasted, but what I'd want to do is to set a default so the that the text was a certain font size/type etc when it is pasted.

Does it help if you click the lower half of the Paste button and select the second option 'Match Destination Formatting'?
Best wishes,

I don't use buttons--crrl+c, ctrk+v. That being said I can paste special but that takes another step in a procedure. That is why I was asking if there was a default setting to the font.

Re: Copying text from Edge web site
I did a little investigation today. The font doesn't appear to be regulated by Excel, but by the web browser.
Edge-Inherit Regular 7
Fiefox-Calibri Regular 11
IE-Cambria Regular 11
To my knowledge these are all defaults, so I guess the place to change would be Edge. Any thoughts on how that might be accomplished even though this is an Excel thread?

Re: Copying text from Edge web site
Not really. You can specify fonts in Settings > Appareance > Customize Fonts, but the web page most probably affects the font used too...

You can set a minimum font size in Customize Fonts, which might help

Re: Copying text from Edge web site
Finished my daily copy/paste data. In the "Home" tab there is a box that displays fonts. In a new sheet it sets to Calbrini 7, and change that to 11 and that stays 11. However if I change the Calbrini to anything else that changes the highlighted text but reverts back to Calbrini on the next paste. So is there a way to make the font to say Arial by default?
