Excel 2016 Double Clicking Format Painter

I have seen a lot of issues on the WEB about Double Clicking the Format Painter not working but have not seen any solutions. Is there something that can be done to get that double clicking on the format painter to work again?

Try setting the double-click speed a bit slower in the Mouse control panel.
