Creating hyperlinks in Excel
Is it possible to highlight a word in Excel and cause it to become a hyperlink such that clicking on the word takes the user to a web site, as can be done in Word by selecting the word and pressing ctrl + k?

Re: Creating hyperlinks in Excel
In Excel, you can only assign a hyperlink to a cell as a whole. So if a cell contains (for example) three words, you cannot make just one of those words into a hyperlink.

Re: Creating hyperlinks in Excel
As Hans mentions, a single word cannot be hyperlinked within a phrase, but if the "word" can be extracted from the cell based on a condition of some sort, it can be hyperlinked using a HYPERLINK function within a helper column.

When I use the arrow buttons in Excel, the entire Excel spreadsheet moves around. How can I get the arrow keys to move only the selected cell?

You've probably turned on Scroll Lock. Press the Scroll Lock key on the keyboard to turn it off.
If you're using a laptop that does not have a Scroll Lock key, select Start > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > On-Screen Keyboard. The on-screen keyboard has a ScrLk "key".

It sounds like you have scroll lock active on your keyboard.
Press the ScrLk key to deactivate the feature.
