Hello, I have lists side by side of dates of birth and I wish to compare them. Whilst I know most match I am getting a return of 'false' under the exact function. There is clearly something a miss with the data formats, I have tried a few techniques I know like copy and paste the format, resetting the data in the developer window but to no avail. Any ideas would be most welcome please, it is sending me crazy. List is attached.
Thanks Darren,
Compare two list of dates -format issue

Re: Compare two list of dates -format issue
Hi Darren,
The dates in column A are not valid dates, but actually Text. (They align to the left if you widen the column).
To fix:
Select all the dates in column A
Access the Text to Columns feature from the Insert Ribbon
Choose Next twice to get to the last step
Select Date and the DMY format
Choose Finish
Text to columns will convert the dates into an actual date (serialized)
The formulas will immediately recalculate and produce better results.

Thank you very much Rudi
I have over 10,000 records to check, this helps me enormously.
Thanks again, Darren,
