Hi,
I'm trying to get the data on the x-axis to plot based on the position of the x-axis based on its value?! Why is it plotting at step increments (and also in integers where the values are clearly in decimal)? The y-axis is plotting correctly based on the value on the sheet.
Am I missing the point here? (I thought I understood Scatter plots?

The chart is currently using B4:B10 as x-axis labels. Since B4:B10 contain text values, Excel is forced to use 1, 2, ... as x-values.
If you want to use C4:C10 as x-axis values, you have to specify that explicitly:
and remove the other series:
You can then specify B4:B10 as range for the data labels, if you wish. See the attached version.
